Bill Walz is a 1992 graduate of Lakeland High School, 1997 graduate of the University of Southern Indiana, and 2001 graduate of the Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis. He spent the last two years practicing law as a Deputy Prosecutor in Marion County (Indianapolis) where he prosecuted Misdemeanors and Felonies. Since the birth of his first child Morgan, Bill and his wife Kerri a CPA, who is also a 1992 Lakeland graduate and 1997 University of Southern Indiana graduate,decided to move back to their roots and to be closer to family.
